I have been blessed to have achieved a great deal of success in my life. I am a proud US Air Force veteran; I studied Business at Wayne State and have an MBA from the University of Dallas. I have been in the banking & financial services industry for over 35 years serving in a variety of roles: initially as a Senior Executive of a large National bank for 10 years; then left to start my own financial services company. The firm grew to over 300 consultants and was successful enough to allow me to retire early. I moved to Mexico with my wife to enjoy retirement, but after six years, my wife’s surprise diagnosis of lung cancer brought us back to Texas for treatment. We battled the cancer 24/7 as a team for thirteen months, but the cancer had too much of a head start and she slipped away quietly one evening. To help me deal with the intense grief, I wanted to help others by coming out of retirement and sharing my experiences.
I have now spent the last 10 years as a Retirement Journey Guide, having personally realized that Retirement is not a goal, but a continuation of one’s life journey, and my life mission now is to provide guidance, advice & comfort to caregivers and those who have lost a loved one. I have authored five Financial Workbooks and one Memoir, all available on amazon.com.
